Welcome to my page - My name is Michael Kirste. I'm a German amateur photographer based in Cologne. My great passion for photography started in my childhood when I got my first analog compact camera. At this time I have taken pictures mainly on vacation and traveling. Later I attended a photography course where I learned the basic techniques of composition, exposure and developing (at that time still in a darkroom). After a long break I started with digital photography in 2010. I am particularly interested in nature photography (landscape, macro), and night shots of cities and industrial plants. Many of my photographs are taken around my current location in Cologne. Apart from that I like taking pictures while traveling or I'm doing photo tours to interesting places.

I like photography a lot, because I can relax and switch off during my photo tours. In particular, the landscape photography is very important for me. On my photo tours I always experience how beautiful and unique our planet is. With my pictures I want to capture this beauty and uniqueness of nature and share it with my audience. The photography is a way for me to reflect my personal emotions and feelings about our world. The photos shown on this page illustrate, how I have interpreted the scenes and experiences. I hope you enjoy my photos and understand my enthusiasm for nature.

Wir haben eine Canon 550 D, 18-55 und 28 mm Festbrennweite (1,4 Lichtstärke) Ich frage mich, warum sehen Ihre Bilder so gestochen scharf und brillant aus? Liegts an der Nachbearbeitung?
